Finally the long awaited Soweto electricity Project is ready and the new transformer might be up and running anytym beginning this week.The project included putting up a new trsmsformer and a powerhouse to counteract the blackout menace in the Soweto hostels.The project has been ongoing for around a month now.
Speaking to hostel C students on Sunday,the Muso Chair,Mr.Omondi accompanied by his Accomodations Director Mr.Guyo infact had promised that the transformer would run starting the next day.However, this has not yet been done and students are still putting up with the regular power blackouts and rationing.
Hopefully,the transformer,once it is up and running will completely curb power problems.
